1. Introduction
Welcome to Life Vault (Pty) Ltd. These Terms and Conditions
("Agreement") govern your access to and use of the Life Vault
website (www.lifevault.co.za), mobile
applications, and related services. By registering for an
account or using our services, you agree to comply with these
terms.
2. Agreement Composition
This Agreement consists of these terms of service, any
applicable orders, and any specific terms agreed upon for
additional services.
Definitions:

Account: A registered profile on Life Vault
that enables you to store personal data and assign "Approved
Persons."

Approved Persons: Individuals designated by
the user to access specific files within their account.

Life Vault Data: Information collected during
account registration and data uploaded by users.

Site: The official website
(www.lifevault.co.za) and related platforms.
3. Permission Framework & Approved Persons

Users have the ability to grant file-level access to their
nominated Approved Persons.
-
Approved Persons can only access designated files as assigned
by the user.
-
The primary account holder maintains full control over access
rights.
4. Duration & Termination
-
This Agreement remains in effect as long as the subscription
is active.
-
Automatic renewal applies unless cancelled by either party
with 30 days' written notice.

Users can terminate their accounts at any time; however, no
refunds will be issued for partial billing periods.
5. Registration & Account Security
-
Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
-
Users are responsible for safeguarding their login
credentials.
-
Unauthorized access or use of another user's account is
strictly prohibited.
6. Services Provided
-
Life Vault offers secure document storage and controlled
access features.
-
The service is provided on an "as is" basis with no guarantees
of uninterrupted operation.
7. Billing & Payment
Subscription Fee:
R69 per month or R690 per Annum. These amounts are inclusive of
VAT.
Payment Default:
If payment is not received:
-
User data is retained for 3 months, but
access is restricted.
- Full payment of outstanding fees restores access.
-
After 3 months of non-payment, data may be permanently
deleted.
Subscription fees are non-refundable and are billed in advance.
8. Your Data & Privacy

Life Vault does not claim ownership of user-uploaded data.

Data is stored securely and protected under
POPIA and GDPR regulations.
-
Life Vault does not sell or process user data beyond service
requirements.
Data Location:
Life Vault may store user data within designated storage
locations. If required by service needs or legal obligations,
data may be transferred to group entities, associated service
providers, or agents, which may operate in other jurisdictions.
9. Confidentiality & Security
Definition:
Confidential information includes any personal, financial, or
business data shared between the parties under this agreement.
Responsibilities:

Each party must protect the other's confidential information.

Confidential information may only be used for fulfilling
obligations under this agreement.

Access is restricted to employees or agents who require it,
and they must uphold confidentiality agreements.

Reasonable security measures will be applied to prevent
unauthorized disclosure.

Confidential information may not be disclosed to third parties
unless required by law.
-
This confidentiality obligation remains in effect for
five years after the termination of this
agreement.
Indemnity:
Each party will indemnify the other against any loss or damage
resulting from a breach of confidentiality by themselves, their
employees, or agents.
10. Intellectual Property
Ownership:
Life Vault retains all proprietary rights in its services,
software, and technology. Users do not gain any rights over Life
Vault's intellectual property.
Technology Rights:
Life Vault owns and maintains all rights to the technology it
develops or licenses for service delivery.
Usage Restrictions:
Users may not modify, reverse engineer, copy, or sublicense any
part of the Life Vault system.
Trademarks:
Life Vault's branding, trademarks, and logos are protected and
may not be used without permission.
11. Our Warranties
Service Warranties:
Life Vault ensures that:
- Qualified personnel will provide services.

Industry-standard practices will be followed to maintain
service reliability.

Services will comply with applicable South African laws.
General Warranties:

Life Vault has the legal right to operate and provide these
services.
-
No malicious software will be intentionally introduced into
user systems.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties

Users acknowledge that services are used at their own risk.

Life Vault does not guarantee:
-
That service access will always be uninterrupted or
error-free.
-
That defects in the service will be immediately resolved.
-
That information obtained through the service will always
be accurate.
-
Life Vault is not responsible for content accessed through its
platform or how users interpret such content.
Exclusion of Liability:
Life Vault is not responsible for any defects caused by user
negligence, non-compliance with instructions, or improper use of
the service.
13. User Warranties & Indemnity
Agreement Warranties:

Users confirm they have not been misled into entering this
agreement.

Users affirm that this agreement does not violate any other
commitments they have.
Indemnity:
Users agree to indemnify Life Vault against any claims, losses,
or legal costs arising from their breach of warranties or misuse
of the service.
14. Limitation of Liability

Life Vault is not liable for indirect, special, or
consequential damages related to service use.

The company is not responsible for losses due to force majeure
events or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
-
This Agreement is governed by the
laws of South Africa.
- Any disputes will be resolved in South African courts.
16. Amendments
-
Life Vault reserves the right to modify these terms at any
time.
-
Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of revised
terms.
By using Life Vault, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms
and Conditions.
